Why didnt God cure Schizophrenia

Why didn't God heal my stepmother from her paranoid schizophrenia? On the topics of B.C. The more the believer knows Scripture the less they will need a biblical counselor outside of it. A: 1. "Having" a disease or illness has nothing to do with counseling. Counseling, Medication and Prayer (prayer...in case it is demonic possession of an unsaved person; as we see Jesus stating, or medication& nutrition helps....if its possibly a lack of certian nutrition, or Counseling... if its something broken in the mind) can help, but there is no guarantee of healing from it like when Jesus was on Earth bcuz those healings and removal of posessions were happening as a sign to prove His deity. This has some info on Schizophrenia to examine, as it's not a medical/physical issue.  2. Being in a sin stained world (due to mans decision which caused the fall) is not God's fault. It is mans fault.  *There can be rare deformities of the mind, but the most typical mental pro...

Whosoever

Image
Q: The English version of the Bible shows John 3:16 saying "Whosoever believes", can you explain this?  A: Glad you asked. There is confusion on this that can easily be cleared up.  Whosoever Let's look at John 17:9 when discussing the meaning of John 3:16 with fellow believers.  John 17:9 I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world , but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; The word usage and meaning is important. This is in reference to the usage of the word, world. The word whosoever should be taken exactly as what it means, “all those who do” “all of those who believe”. John 3:16 is not a statement of who those are that do come to Christ or can come to Christ, it is a statement of the assurance of salvation for those who do come to Christ . The word “world” (Greek: Kosmos) appears 185 times in the New Testament: 78 times in John, 8 in Matthew, 3 in Mark, and 3 also in Luke. The vast majority of its occurrences are there...

Helps for understanding the OT?

Q: Tips for understanding the Old Testament & just biblical history in general? 1. Hermeneutics (this is an answer to non believers on Scripture, but also has stuff in there for believers... & linked resources too.) 2. This has cool stuff about Jesus in the OT 3. The app StudyBible.org has loads of free stuff that is useful for studying. If you click a verse a resources button shows up and in that are faq, articles and sermons that point you to that or related topic. (Test it out w a NT verse to see). 4. You can get historical info from solid sermons and commentaries. The above app is a good place as are good reputable Study Bibles, (See books link below for those). 5. Here is a bonus:  really good resource for growing believers . 😀 God bless!

Literacy and Scripture

Note Scripture (incl. Revelation) was written for  average illiterate people  to understand it. Remember most people never had schooling or education until USA was a nation, and education was expanded in modern 1960s'- 80s [before then most only had a 6th or 8th grade education]. In 60s to 80s many were now going to High School. Colleges prior to 1960's were only for Pastors to get theology educations to preach at churches. As everyone prior to WW1 and 2 just apprenticed their fathers job; family business. Since WW2 college and education expanded because of feminism and to help family finances. Knowing most in past history and even in many 3rd world countries today are still illiterate... so 1. God wouldnt write the Bible esp end times info to be  complicated . Every believer was wanting to know about the return of Christ and when we would be free from this corrupt existence.  2. Relevelation flows rightly & chronologically from Ch1 to the end.   3. Jewish b...

Are most muslims peaceful

There are 1.8 Billion Muslims in world 8 million Muslims in the USA now 25% of Muslims are radical 🛑That is 300 million of them; dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization.  🛑That is as large a number as the United States. 👉The peaceful majority are irrelevant(1) However we still want to see good dialogue and outcomes from open minded conversations with each other.  Interesting fact: The overwhelming majority of those born into aor living as Islamic people have no idea what is in the Koran because they do not read it. They also do not exposit it at mosques like Christians do with the Bible (book by book verse by verse). They hear little things here and there which are limited in their lifetime, so they know little of what is in it... and also no clue what is actually in the Bible.(2) ⭐  What Muslims need to know about their religion, and what they do not know about Christianity . Is Pork Clean food

Pork & Clean foods  Is it ok to eat pork ? There is pork in so many things. I've heard it depends on what culture or religion you are, I've heard no the Bible says not to, I've heard it's ok to because God says all meat is clean just not to eat the blood and God judges your heart. I'm confused on these things and  want to live as right as I can. Pls advise.  A: We have Christian liberty and do not live as legalists. What other cultures or religions do doesnt matter to us. God has given us the truth.  Jesus cleared all foods as clean. There are at least 2 places in NT he stated this.  1. What goes in you doesnt defile you.  2. When he told the Apostle all food is clean and go to witness to the gentile; and eat the food he offers there. And he did so.  It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” Matthew 15:11 This is made clear in Peter's vision in Acts 10:15. Jesus said, “What God h...

If Jesus is Good Jesus is God

Image
Jesus did claim to be God. This is the very reason he said only God is good… If one believe Jesus is Good that is their admission of him being God. Most people don't pick up on or grasp this even in Mark 10:18 "And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. " Jesus is saying are you calling me God? Is Jesus here rebuking the man for calling Him good and thereby denying His deity? No. Rather, He is using a penetrating question to push the man to think through the implications of his own words, to understand the concept of Jesus’ goodness and, most especially, the man’s lack of goodness. Thus, by the very standard Jesus is exhorting the young ruler to adopt, Jesus is good. And it necessarily follows that if Jesus is indeed good by this standard, Jesus is implicitly declaring His deity. Clearly More Resources More Proofs that Jesus is God Jesus Topics What is the Gospel

When "Pastors" do Bad things

Q: What Should we consider when some "pastor" is in the news for bad behavior or shocking lifestyle? Example: In 2024 a guy made the news for shoving a McD worker head in the deep fryer for "disrespecting" his wife (1) A: There is actually a couple of things to remember and consider.  There the example given was not a Christian. So we have to discard that. But the idea of it around treating people properly as humans and in love as God love, is important to note. And n o true Pastor would have such bad behavior or shocking lifestyle, since Christ is in him and thus he lives in love towards God and others.  Important distinction  There are false churches that masquerade as Christian, so we have to first identify that, and the wolves in power there. These are not to be included in the answer about "Pastors" because real pastors are not predators or do shocking lifestyle behaviors, so that basically answers your question. There are also those "churches...

Contentment

Image
What is contentment? It is the being satisfied with the sovereign dispensations of God's providence. It is the opposite of murmuring, which is the spirit of rebellion—the clay saying to the Potter, "Why have You made me thus?" Instead of complaining at his lot, a contented man is thankful that his condition and circumstances are no worse than they are. Instead of greedily desiring something more than the supply of his present need, he rejoices that God still cares for him. Such an one is "content" with such as he has. "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Heb. 13:5). A.W. Understanding the Essentials

Essentials of the Christian faith Here are some resources to look through and study on Essentials of the Christian faith. If you are looking into this for the first time, start here.   1.  What are the Essentials ?  The following will all say the same thing:  RC Ryle spoke on 5 essentials   The Essential Christian Doctrines   The Core Christian Beliefs Further Clarity:  What are the core beliefs of Christianity 2.  What is the Gospel ? It is at the core of Christianity and Scripture. It explains what we have done, why we need to be saved, who can save us & how we get saved.  God calls us to obey this Gospel command.  Those who obey it are born again.  *See more on explaining assurance and sanctification at the below believers site.   <<< return to prev page Jump to Seekers Answers Jump to Believers Resources The Essentials expose False Religions who are masquerading as "Christian"

The Needy and Birds - What do we need & what are we to do and not do

Image
Q: We need to make sure no one goes hungry. Christians dont seem to care about this. People die of starvation. Jesus fed people.  A: There is so much false in that insinuation.  The main thing I will point out is: Food is useless for tomorrow... if we die in our sins today.  What did Jesus say:  Let's look at the verses before . The one before talks about serving two masters. What does it mean to serve?  Give yourself wholly to, to pursue with everything, to put at a HiGH value. Which should we be serving, God or cares of this world? God wants us to pursue Him, to value Him, to trust Him .  Now let's look at birds. Do they just sit and wait for the things they need to come to them in their nests? No , they fly out, they search, they pick it up, (theyre constantly in action). Scripture says that God is a provider for those who put Him first, those who Serve Him, who seek Him, who ask Him. Not all serve Jesus. [And not all who are b...

Are Memes wrong to use?

Image
Well I try not to but there are some decent ones, even if sarcastic, that do speak truth. I had wondered last year if I should comment on them or use them myself. I usually comment if I can contribute a helpful note or resource. I do know this verse... So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what pleases Me, where i sent Isaiah 55:11 Also I saw this testimony 🙂🙃🥰 and am now convinced if used right and with good intentions then it is fine... What is the Gospel Frequent Answers

Is there an Atheist seeking Answers?

Are atheists looking for answers or excuses to not obey the Gospel command by God? When atheists say how ridiculous the stories in the Bible are, they are not grasping we have faith in the Creator God who is sovereign over physics and reality, and manipulating them freely is a way of showing His power. When they question something tbst seems impossible we need to explain how nothing is impossible for God - He created it all and can do all of those things recorded in Scripture.  They're using it to highlight the necessity of evidence or clarification. They're saying "X is ridiculous, and so I won't just assume it's true. I'd like to see proof". We as Christians should be ready to provide evidence or clarification for every claim we put forward: to demonstrate that what seems ridiculous is in fact true.  But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have; yet d...
