Note on Sin and freewill. Death, judgment & eternal condemnation

To be clear, God's Word reveals that sinners are condemned for their sin. They willingly choose to suppress the knowledge of God and truly desire to sin the sins that they sin, and are indeed condemned *for* the sum of their works. We are compatabilists, not fatalists—God’s knowing / ordaining / granting of the sinner’s sin is not coercive—the will of the creature is at liberty to make the choices it makes, as long as God allows it. We can see with Pharoah and Nebuchadnezzar as well as with the Apostles when they were prevented from or delayed from their desire. Man plans but God's plans prevail. Conversely, the elect are saved *not* for the sum of their works, but from sheer grace of God, through faith, by His will and foredecision. And by the drawing of man by the Holy Spirit, reasoning with him & showing him truths, man then is led to the cross, and God converts. Making it both God's will and man's will to obey the Gospel, which has the power to convert men, and...

helps for Believers battling sin

As a believer we grow deeper and deeper in our understanding of holiness and growing more and more in Christlikeness. We grow deeper beyond the surface understandings as we are more mature. If we dont get that far we stagnate and might self righteously 😬 think we are mature but later find we are far from it. And might even fall into legalism 😬.  These resources are a good start for you to grow more as a maturing believer. God will never stop maturing us in Christ until he takes us home. 🙂 *there is more below, so read through this page before you go through the links, and return to this page here to finish reviewing the rest of the below resources. Is God bloodthirsty?

Image
Q: Is God bloodthirtsty?  A: No.  While some attempt to explain this, most dont fully explain it well.(1) Here is what needs to be understood: The issue has to do with "perfection". God is perfectly  holy and we as fallen ones lost perfection when Sin entered thru Adam. The focus [in answering a question like this] needs to be on explaining it from this lense.  All Sin = is crime against God. All sin is an assault on God's character and nature, as we as his creation were made in His Image and to live righteously. Since Adam lost that righteous nature at the Fall, we all only deserve death AND damnation (since 1. in eternity; after death, we cannot be in His presence. Though made to have a relationship, a fellowship with God, its impossible both while we are sinners AND after death). 2. God must, as a just Judge, punish criminals.  When this is understood rightly, not only does it have to be punished eternal (since we are eternal beings), but beca...

Atheist asks: What kind of God??

Image
Q: What kind of God is this?? In the Bible He commands a follower to: KILL adulterers (Lev 20:10) KILL all witches (Ex22:18) KILL all blasphemers (Lev 24:14) KILL false prophets (Zech 13:3) KILL fortune tellers (Lev 20:27) KILL anyone who sins (Ezek 18:4) Kill the curious (1Sam 6:19,20) KILL all non-Hebrews (Dt 20:16,17) KILL sons of sinners (Isa 14:21) KILL non-believers (2Chron 15:12,13) KILL anyone who curses God (Lev 24:16) KILL any child who hits a parent (Ex 21:15) KILL children who disobey parents (Dt 21:20) KILL those who work on the Sabbath (Ex 31:15) KILL disobedient children (Ex 21:17) (Mk 7:10) KILL strangers close to a church (Num 1: 48-51) KILL all males after winning battles (Dt 20:13) KILL those who curse father or mother (Lev 20:9) KILL men who have sex with other men (Lev 20:13) KILL any bride discovered not to be a virgin (Dt 22:21) KILL those who worship the wrong God (Num 25:1-9) KILL anyone who does not observe the Sabbath (Ex 31:14) KILL e...

Same Sex Attraction

Q: God tells us that same-sex sexual relations are sins. But is Attraction to the same sex a sin?  A: I am not sure why there's this hair splitting idea going around on this topic today to try and approve of. Sin is sin. It starts in the mind and builds up to become an uncontrolable fire.  Attraction indicates it is in the thoughts. If the attraction is in thoughts then the thought is sin. Jesus said God sees our thoughts and clearly stated lust is the same as adultery. People dont have attractions without committing the sin in their mind entertaining the idea of it. The thought from the beginning goes against God's design and is rebellion. The wicked think that God must agree with them; the righteous know that we must agree with God. God & Lies 🚷

Lesson on Lies Believers are the bride are the Church and of the local Church. She is to be pure and holy.  One lie caused God to kill 2 Christians in front of the church, and great fear came over the whole church. We cannot lie. God is serious about lies. He wants his church purified. Judgment begins at the house of God.  In Revelation 1-3 John saw the Lord moving among the Church, his eyes were finding sin, and he was stamping out sin by judgment in the church wherever it is found. Jesus says to the Churches: "Repent or I will come quickly and make war against them [the churches] with the sword of my mouth." "I gave her time to repent of her immorality but she wont, so I will throw her on a bed of sickness and those who joined with her into great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds. I search the mind and hearts and will judge your sins." Jesus said, "Therefore if you do not wake up I will quickly come to you like a thief." And, "Those whom...

Q: Such were you; fell into sin

Image
Q: I fell into sin, have repented and feel I have overcome that sin now, but I dont feel peace & am scared God will tell me "depart".  A:  1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never Such were some of you. We are not to be like those who love their sins and are chained to them.  A fruit proof of ones salvation is hating sin and loving righteousness, and having a proper concern over sin. Part of sanctification is eliminating sin and becoming more and more like Jesus. Also, once we are His, it is eternal.  Not false conversion, but true conversion, which might be real for you based on what was said. Remember, Jesus holds us; our s...

A study on Sin *

Image
More resources will be added over time. Bookmark this page and put a reminder on your calendar for 3 months from now and 6 months from now, to return here and look at what is new. And feel free to go thru all the messages here again as a refresher.  Study on Sin  If you want to understand what sin is, what "The World" is when Scripture talks about and reveals sin, then this resource is for you.  This will help anyone wanting to do a study on sin so you have a firm grasp on what you will be battling against in life, and overcoming, and only those with the righteousness of Christ by the new nature given at conversion by God are enabled to do this.  I often wondered why there was never a study on "sin" so a believer can grasp all what that IS so they can consciously and subconsciously avoid the temptations and prevent stumbling into sin and prevent going off the righteous path in the Christian walk. As well as conquer sins in our life.  I wondered if a longer list...

Believers and Sin (2)

Image
How are Christians to deal with sin in our lives? Sin & Hebrews 10:26 The Law of sin and death condemns but the  Law of Christ  brings life. If you actually are a born again believer then you are saved permanently , but simply need to wear the armor of God and conquer sin as you live out the sanctification process.    Do Christians keep the Law? Jesus kept the Law on our behalf. When we git saved, God gave us Christ's righteousness. The perfect life He lived is attributed to us.  We are clothed in His righteousness.  We now have the righteous nature. We get this new nature by being born again... and the indwelling Holy Spirit enables to walk in holiness by God's power, (hating & avoiding sin; but can't totally get rid of it, tho we can conquer much of it thru sanctification). We have a new nature so we can not sin and have victory over any sin.  See info  @20:35  -24:10 mark (youtube). The Gospel talks about sin and the L...
