Quick Jumps Bible Study Journaling & Note Taking  Q:  I’ve been reading my Bible but I think I can take my studies further if I include note-taking in my sessions. Studies show you are more likely to remember notes that you write out (specifically hand written). How do/should I take notes?  Should I summarize what I read about? Should I re-write important verses? Paraphrase what I studied? Are there specific note-taking methods that will help?  And what type of questions should I keep in mind when I read to help me reflect on/comprehend what I read? It is good to Journal thru the Bible.  For many reasons. 1. I helps you learn. 2. You can write questions. 3. You can seek out answers. 4. You can find answers as you continue through the Bible. 5. It let's you review your journal as you start a new journal on your next read thru the Bible. 6. It let's you help your spouse and children glean thru the Bible, ask questions, and write their own journal. 7. It helps you grow in the knowledge of Scripture. 8.
