He was raised by his Christian mother after his father died at a young age. He married, had 5 children, served in army air corps and was in WW 2 and Korean War. After the war he became a teacher at a public school and all of his children went thru his classes 😂, and I also ended up bussed to the school he taught at after he retired. He showed up a couple times as a substitute teacher there in my English and History classes, and it was neat to experience.
