Note on Sin and freewill. Death, judgment & eternal condemnation

To be clear, God's Word reveals that sinners are condemned for their sin. They willingly choose to suppress the knowledge of God and truly desire to sin the sins that they sin, and are indeed condemned *for* the sum of their works. We are compatabilists, not fatalists—God’s knowing / ordaining / granting of the sinner’s sin is not coercive—the will of the creature is at liberty to make the choices it makes, as long as God allows it. We can see with Pharoah and Nebuchadnezzar as well as with the Apostles when they were prevented from or delayed from their desire. Man plans but God's plans prevail. Conversely, the elect are saved *not* for the sum of their works, but from sheer grace of God, through faith, by His will and foredecision. And by the drawing of man by the Holy Spirit, reasoning with him & showing him truths, man then is led to the cross, and God converts. Making it both God's will and man's will to obey the Gospel, which has the power to convert men, and...

Is God bloodthirsty?

Image
Q: Is God bloodthirtsty?  A: No.  While some attempt to explain this, most dont fully explain it well.(1) Here is what needs to be understood: The issue has to do with "perfection". God is perfectly  holy and we as fallen ones lost perfection when Sin entered thru Adam. The focus [in answering a question like this] needs to be on explaining it from this lense.  All Sin = is crime against God. All sin is an assault on God's character and nature, as we as his creation were made in His Image and to live righteously. Since Adam lost that righteous nature at the Fall, we all only deserve death AND damnation (since 1. in eternity; after death, we cannot be in His presence. Though made to have a relationship, a fellowship with God, its impossible both while we are sinners AND after death). 2. God must, as a just Judge, punish criminals.  When this is understood rightly, not only does it have to be punished eternal (since we are eternal beings), but beca...

Avoiding Doomsday

Doomsday Clock and Life off-world Q:  I have my ticket for Space launch so when earth doomsday clock or the earth explodes I wont be here. A: Well it wont matter where anyone is. When the end arrives it is Creation wide. The Universe will he destroyed and a eternal sin free new Heaven and new Earth will arrive; for the redeemed to enjoy with God.  There is nowhere to hide from God Psalm 139:7-10: Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Proverbs 15:3: The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. Jeremiah 16:17: For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their iniquity concealed from my eyes. Hebrews 4:13: Nothing in all creation is hidden from ...

Is Lgbt+being legalized a "judgment" from God on a nation?

Looking at what God has revealed...  "..And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them." Romans 1:28-32  There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:  haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,  a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.  ...

Cast first stone?

Image
This story is not in the earliest manuscripts but might be one of the stories not mentioned in NT (as Apostle John noted) that was passed on and a scribe added it to the text.  In this story, Jesus specifically said to them, let the "one" [among you] without sin cast the first stone.  "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." John 8:7 First, they wouldnt be following the Law if they did that (see below). They didn't bring both the man and woman, only the woman. Mustve been someone they didnt like cuz the leaders left the guy off scott free.   So that's all sorts of wrong too.   According to the law two witnesses are required to condemn a person to death.Sin is transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). Therefore since no "witnesses" came forward against this woman and the man involved in adultery wasn't present either it would have been a sin to carry out the death sentence. Jesus couldn't throw a sto...
