Works can't save

Image
Works cant save.  All unsaved folk "good deeds" are for selfish reasons. It is sn atempt to bribe the God/Just Judge and it wont work. "But we are allike an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6 (which often is explained in culture context back then that those rags were only fit to be burned). Which ties into Paul's imagery from 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 (works being "burned up"), to make the point that human righteousness apart from Christ is worthless and destined for judgment. Luke 13:3, 5 – “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” In Hebrews 9:27 God reveals: And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." Ok, from seeing the trailers and getting a brief idea of what the movie is about, I decided to also read the review a Christian organization puts out, in order to see if it would be worth it to watch. Other then that, for the most part their reviews are pretty helpful, especially when listing the number of cuss words, profanity, blaspheming God's word and blaspheming about God. http://www.pluggedin.com/movies/intheaters/bookofeli.aspx After reading the reveiw I see a few things I do not like. If directors and those with artistic license always claim to "say what they want to" in hollywood films and claim it as artism, then they should have truthfully made the point that Chri...
