Crocodile illustration There is a big difference between those who understand the cross and those that don’t. The understanding comes because of the knowledge of the personal nature of sin. Those who have seen their own sin in all its horror have seen the cross in all its glory. They whisper with the apostle, “God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ . . .” (Galatians 6:14). Those who are saved hate sin, see it in it's true light, and turned from it. They now love righteousness, and are transformed by God to be lovers of truth, righteousness, and conquer and eliminate sin; have victory over it. The do not live in it nor love sin, they reject sin and remove it from their lives. They understand sin and what Jesus did for us and by that great love, how can we who love Him sin against him willfully and rebelliously?
