The First Christmas Gift Luke 2:1-7 Think of the first Christmas and what it means to us. Many have a tree up in their home. The tree represents Jesus Crucified. He died on the Cross, which was a tree. What do the lights on the tree represent? That light was given to the world. What is under the tree? Gifts. God’s gift was given to us, Jesus Christ. What does the greenness of the tree represent? New life. Jesus life was offered so we could have life eternal. He received flesh and walk among us on earth, as Jesus the Christ. A Humble Gift Jesus was born as a King. A humble gift given from God to the world. He had no real parents. The Holy Spirit conceived Jesus in Mary. Jesus said he came to Serve God and be a light for many (see John 6:38,33). The plan for all of this began in eternity past, among the Triune Godhead. ...
