Calming Believers Concerns around Legalism & Mosaic Law

Q: I've been seeing a lot of people in Christian groups or forums online recently telling people that Christians need to abide by the Mosaic Law, particularly regarding the Sabbath and dietary rules. (I'm not sure why those are their main concerns, seeing as there was so much more to the law, including clothing, stoning and sacrificing, etc.). I suspect they are in cults or have been taught wrong by flawed church teachers & preachers who are weak in the knowledge of Scripture.  A:  I've also seen a lot of others concerned by these things with Christians asking if we need to follow the Old Testament laws, since those trouble makers and decieved ones are causing anxiety in new and weak believers. Let's address this here... I recommend that everyone read through Galatians, especially chapters 2–5. It's a short book, and you can even listen to the whole thing in about 20 minutes using a free Bible app. And discuss with your Sunday School teacher & Pastor if you ...

Clarity on "the Law" in evangelism

There are people who have studied biblical evangelism and are having a hard time getting their pastor onboard with biblical evangelism.  Remember, not every church is a biblical church and not every pastor is saved. But by doing so miss that love is not actually lived out without truth.  And  *They reject teaching on the biblical Gospel or misunderstand such teachings. >they misunderstand gospel training courses such as the one taught by Joh...

Scripture tells us God has put it in all humans hearts and conscience as part of our design. And that we know instinctively right from wrong because of it. God also revealed in Scripture that people hide from the truth and suppress the truth, and seer their conscience so they sin and commit worse sins [in thought word and deed all their lives].  1. So theres the universal Law revealed in OT & NT.  2. The Mosaic Law for Israelites only And both of those overlap, such as dont lie, dont murder.  3. Then there's the Law of Christ for Christians; the law of liberty.  Laws were always about righteousness, the perfect righteous holiness of God and that we all fall far from that perfect standard - because of the fall and our now sin nature.  If we walk in Christ we walk in r...
