Through Christ's sacrifice a just and legal transaction happens. Grace is where you are guilty but someone pays your fine for you. Mercy is where you are guilty but someone frees you from paying the penalty. God has done both in Christ. Plus it includes forgiveness  (not just the debt)  from the one whom the crime was committed against [God]. And in all of this he showed his love towards us that while we were his enemies he still came to die for us [in our place] so we could recieve the above, a restored fellowship with Him [which was severed in Eden] and eternal life. Why isnt God doing anything? Why has God let this happen to me? I was watching a kdrama and occassionally there is a decent one that has Christianity in it, which also in general reminds and points people about God. This one show had a church and cross theme and they posted John 3:16 on the screen 3 or 4 times: FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTON SON THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.  There was talk of God being dead because they couldnt comprehend why he allows bad things to happen. Q: I got baptized when I was 14 years old, in 2000. I felt I was gung ho for the Lord! I prayed about and thought about what God would do before I did it. But, I had trouble holding to my faith. After I graduated high school I kinda left the church for a while. I felt so lost and like i was missing something. I knew that I needed to go back. I can’t remember the last time I opened my Bible or prayed to the Lord. How do I get back into a habit of doing those things?
