Lesson on Lies Believers are the bride are the Church and of the local Church. She is to be pure and holy. One lie caused God to kill 2 Christians in front of the church, and great fear came over the whole church. We cannot lie. God is serious about lies. He wants his church purified. Judgment begins at the house of God. In Revelation 1-3 John saw the Lord moving among the Church, his eyes were finding sin, and he was stamping out sin by judgment in the church wherever it is found. Jesus says to the Churches: "Repent or I will come quickly and make war against them [the churches] with the sword of my mouth." "I gave her time to repent of her immorality but she wont, so I will throw her on a bed of sickness and those who joined with her into great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds.
