Is It Forcing Religion on People?

Q: Why do Christians force their religion on people?  A: Do you say that about all other religious and faith beliefs too? Christians wouldn't say they're forcing anything, but caringly sharing.  Why do you think my sharing and caring is forcing?   Is it possible you've just misunderstood me, and Christianity? Many misunderstand why Christians share, why they care, and why Christianity matters. I hope these resources will help answer that for you.  I will note, Unlike Islam and Hinduism, (and even Communisim) in the Middle East & Asia that force you into theor religion or kill you for rejecting it, Christians would never do that. The Christians goal isnt earthly, but an eternal one. And it's one of truth & love. Christians can't make you become Christian, only God converts. They're just fulfilling God's command and commission to go share the offer of salvation- so you can be made right with God, and live out the purpose and plan for which God created...

Answers about Christianity

Q I really need to get answers to these perplexing issues about life and about Christianity and my belief or understanding on it so far. Can you help clarify these for me? If God does exist why did he make us in the first place? He knows the future so why did he make us if he knew we were going to suffer and sin anyways? To me religion always seemed like something to make you feel better about yourself and the after life since we don’t actually know what’s going to happen. If God knew people were going to end up killing, sinning, and all this bad stuff why make them? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve been forced into church since I was a kid and always saw adults thinking they see Jesus, angels, or hearing voices. Kids never see them though and always just follow along with the adults because they can’t understand, or they were raised to think they were meant to see or hear things. It sounds like they’re just manifesting hallucinations and voices, like they want to believe that they ca...

Islam, Israel or Christianity?*

Islam, Judaism and Christianity? And aree they different gods?  Well, what is truth?  The difference is they are different religions and have different gods, but Christianity has the true God.  Israel came thru Abraham, Islam didnt really come thru Ishmael but was a religion Arabs embraced.  Islam is a false religion created 600 yrs after the NT. The founder was not arab btw, but a foreigner, and he was just known by a title "Mohammed". He claimed to be visited by Gabriel [funny, why would angels who are only sent to Jews; people of the promise; only sent to Israel, all of a sudden reveal himself to some other person of a pagan nation? He wouldnt], but his wife believed it was demons that visited him, and told him so. He worked hard to try to get the Jews to bless & embrace his nonsense visions [to nefariously gain a following] and they wouldnt . So he hated them & caused them trouble. His supposed writings were not put together until over 400 years after he...

Review of the Book of Eli (bELIeve)

Ok, from seeing the trailers and getting a brief idea of what the movie is about, I decided to also read the review a Christian organization puts out, in order to see if it would be worth it to watch. While I do not agree with all they say, especially whenever they tend to forget the differences between a religion that claims to be Christian and the true one that is Christian, or the decision to be wishy washy and include a group in Christianity that is not Christian for the sake of being PC. Other then that, for the most part their reviews are pretty helpful, especially when listing the number of cuss words, profanity, blaspheming God's word and blaspheming about God. http://www.pluggedin.com/movies/intheaters/bookofeli.aspx After reading the reveiw I see a few things I do not like. If directors and those with artistic license always claim to "say what they want to" in hollywood films and claim it as artism, then they should have truthfully made the point that Chri...

The Manhattan Declaration

Manhattan Declaration updates and thoughts... #Mdec #Protestant #Jesus "The world is a dangerous place... because [many] look on and do nothing." ~ Einstein I got an email today. Theres updated info on the Mdec website www.manhattandeclaration.org, which I read. While it shows the declaration is not just for Christians, I now have reservations (since more has been added to the site info). I signed it originally, because I saw it's what Christians, conseratives and those who value what America's founders desired for life in our society, would agree is right - and is very necessary to stand up and speak about this in today's deteriorating society. Yes, I had reservations when Colson was involved with it ( a super red flag to any Christian ), but when several respected and main leaders of the Protestant faith signed it, ( not the wishy washy ones, the real biblical ones )... I decided to read what the site home page said about the declaration, and I agreed with t...
