Did Jesus pray to himself to be saved and raise himself? confused, help.
Q: saw a short video (Christian/Muslim debate) today, & am not on either side, but would like clarity from Christians on this. So Jesus is God... but he prayed to himself to be saved from death....and raised himself from the dead.... but the idea makes zero sense to me... help ??? A: This helps clarify: God is three Persons but of one Nature. God's attributes are identical to His essence(1) Jesus the Word, sent by the Father to earth, who then [by Jesus] sent the Holy Spirit to believers [to indwell them](2). 3. So the Son (begotten by the the Father who sent him from Heaven to put flesh on & called Jesus, as therefore the Son) can talk/pray to the other members of the triune Godhead. As 100% God but also now 100% man too, he is able to talk to God and pray to Him. See God was fine within the trinity to enjoy each other's presence prior to creating man. God is eternal and was never created. He always existed. So they can fellowship among each other and didn't need...
