Q: The Protestant theology of salvation; "trust in Jesus for salvation" seems to make so much sense to me, and it seems to be obvious from Scripture. But I really struggle to understand if it is this obvious , how did so many people end up in Catholicism? And have the billions of people who lived since Jesus time, who followed the Catholic Church all been damned to hell ? I really struggle with this.  A: God opens the eyes of those he will save. Q: Why do I do wrong things? Why are they wrong? Why am I a sinner? What else is there than this life I know and live?  A: Good questuions. I will answer this.  The simple answer is that you live as you do [and with those desires and feelings] because humanity is trapped in a " sin nature."  This is because of the Fall in Eden [at the begining]. Q: I have been feeling this feeling/need to open my heart to God and Jesus. I was baptized as a baby under the Catholic religion, but my mom did it only because that's what everyone was doing back then whether you believed in it or not. After that I was raised basically in an Atheist household. I feel ready to start this journey, but feel lost and disoriented. I don't know where to start. What Does It Mean to Be “Saved”? People might tell you that you need to be saved. But do you feel like you’re only getting half the story? Are you like me? I get tired of sitting down in the middle of something like a story, show, etc. and wondering what’s going on. I think most people feel like this when they hear about Jesus for the first time. If people could see Hell for a second, wouldnt they turn to Jesus & get saved?  Scripture speaks on Hell & they can read it there. We also see the seriousness of it across Scripture and in all of Revelation.  If they understood sin theyd make sure they were saved. We need to present the gospel well in order to do that. It is why the unsaved from the world who found their way into a church arent the only mission field there, church is full of false converts who claim to be believers, so theres a mission field but their salvation wont likely happen without a revival.
