Resources on Bible canon and Church History
Looking for some good books on church history, as well as books talking more about how the Bible was compiled (how and when what books were decided to be cannon when others were not). I do not have a lot of knowledge on this subject but would like to grow in it. A: Well these can be good resources 1. Canon & Reliability (deep dive - lower link) 2. Church history (25 hrs) Part 1 . On church history (69 hrs) Books -Church History in Plain Language by Bruce Shelley is the best church history book you can start out with. -Invitation to Church History by John Hannah would be really good too. Scribes & Scripture -From God to Us: How We Got Our Bible by Norman Geisler and William Nix. -How We Got the Bible by Neil Lightfoot is also an excellent book on the subject Forerunners of the Faith Teacher , Student books Hope this helps.
