Denominational & Non Denom FAQ
Q: I joined a non denom church, but someone said that's "not a real church". I feel confused. What do I need to know? A: Non denom is usually Baptist or Southern Baptist, or might be Charismatic. Their church name might not give it away, but their beliefs will. It will tell you which secondary beliefs the church holds so you can then see who they really are. If you can't tell by that, you can call the church and ask questions. Its better if you have a list of questions to probe, or probe further. And is best to talk to the pastor. Non Denominations will usually be folk who believe in biblical "Christian liberty", say unlike amish, anabaptist, menonite and penticostal, who all "conform"; dont let you dress modestly as you want but the women dress bland uniformly with long hair and usually a headscarf. If your belief differed, they wouldnt let you stay. But non denom Christian churches as like denominational churches, allow freedom. Around 2010 ...
