Church, modesty, church discipline & correction

On black churches, modesty, church discipline & correction, turning from worldly to godly. Re: The Church calling out women for immodesty, & on Denominations Problems in the black church. Black churches sadly have been notorious for being full of false teachings even from America's early days . It has always bent more liberal, instead of biblical. Today some biblical black churches exist, but outside of black communities, black Americans and those on the path to citizenship, should be in a mixed church, not ethnically singular. It can open them up to truth and educate on many things the black church has wrong. But also since we are to be one in Christ, not divided. Not segregated. Today more black churches are coming under biblical leadership & teaching, and thats good. But believers looking for a church need to be knowledgeable about what to look for, (be learned on foundations biblical truths of Christianity and the Gospel), so they dont walk into a false church.  Th...

Church Memory Verse Challenge

Church Memory Challenge If you are a Sunday School teacher or your church has Awana... have a active memory verse challenge. This is active and open for life. For Adults and Young people. All ages. *Use a  spreadsheet  to keep on computer to hold every Bible verse believers would memorize, and on top have every students name.  *Families have a memory verse of the week or of the day, and other people memorize as they go. This gives encouragement to all... *Every week at start of class ask everyone to say their chosen memory verse for the week, one at a time. The ones most eager and most active have them go first.  >Everyone hears a different verse >Everyone is reminded to and challenged to start memorizing. >After the full memorized verses are given, encourage those who memorized a verse partially to give it a go too. This encourages them to finish memorizing it.  >>Make a positive game out of the partial verse as encouragement. Say, raise your han...

Anatomy of the Church

Key points about the skeleton or framework of the church You can hardly make it from Sunday to Sunday without falling out, in terms of your own spiritual walk, and so the Lord’s raised up resources - in the local Church. We ought to be buried in the things it offers.  There has to be framework for the body, the skeleton. There has to be internal systems, which I call the flowing through of certain attitudes. And then there has to be muscle, which is the kinds of function that we do, and then it fleshes out in the form of our ministry. But the form is not enough. You can’t just reproduce the form without the rest. It won’t live. It won’t stand up. It won’t work. trying to get your arms around the thing, keep people from getting complacent, indifferent, taking everything for granted, and not understanding what For the body to function and the body to work, it has to have skeleton. It has to have structure, has to have form. It’s the skeleton that gives the basic structure form to the...

Q: Withdraw from church and hide in our home?

Through studying Scripture, My husband and now align more with reformed views. Well yesterday our pastor had a talk with my husband and eventually told him that he shouldn't take communion on Sunday with our church. The pastor tried to covert him to Baptist. When my husband said no, he was told he wouldn't be a member of the church and was advised not to take communion. We are at a lost at what to do. We have decided to continue our family church at home. Does anyone lead a home church? Is there any advice anyone can give? A: Is there a sin issue the pastor brought up that caused the decision to run away from the chyrch? Are you refusing church discipline or is this simply about communion? If it was the pastor trying to explain Christianity; since all modern Christianity is from the reformation, then you choose to not listen to him, or he called out something as legut sinful and you refused to repent of it then yes abstaine from communion as Scripture is clear. You still nee...

Verses on the Church *

If people could see Hell for a second

If people could see Hell for a second, wouldnt they turn to Jesus & get saved?  Scripture speaks on Hell & they can read it there. We also see the seriousness of it across Scripture and in all of Revelation.  If they understood sin theyd make sure they were saved. We need to present the gospel well in order to do that. It is why the unsaved from the world who found their way into a church arent the only mission field there, church is full of false converts who claim to be believers, so theres a mission field but their salvation wont likely happen without a revival. Unless they  see their need for righteousness  after hearing of the perfect Holy God, they will not want him now nor when in Hell.  I was watching a Ray Comfort witnessing video ytd, and thinking about when we share,  we could ask them  to close their eyes and think about how horrible Hell would be (list some things while eyes shut or before), and have them do the same when you get t...

Why are the unsaved in the Church?*

Unsaved open in Church Q: Someone I know posted this on social media and I want to comment on it without being rude 😔. "Churches say everyone is welcome but they say no to gays. Christianity seems like hypocritical 'men and women' making me want no part in it!"  A: Two Points to address this.  ONE  What has Jesus said  about lukewarm churches, idolatrous adulterous churches, & churches who let the unsaved in or seek them?  "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires" 2 Timothy 4:3 It is already here.  Do not join them.  Jesus calls churches to repent and reform and confirm to truth as revealed in Scripture.  TWO There's a few things here that need clarifying to clear up misunderstandings.  *Christians are to share the Gospel and call sinners to repent *Lgbt people have no interest in biblical churc...

Q: Lacking desire for Church

Q: Why do I need to go to church "to be a good Christian?" I feel nothing during "worship" and "hymns".  Church just feels dead to me....can anyone please help me understand & give me some wisdom? A:   We dont go to church to be a good Christian. We go because we Love Christ.   We are there to gather with local believers to worship God, praise Him (in many ways), rejoice in Him and in what he does thru believers during the week, to Serve God and serve one another. Plus help us in our sanctification.  * Though our personal fellowship with God and growth in Scripture is at home in Scripture and prayer, the local Church has a part to play in our life and us in theirs.  ⭐Do some probing : It is "possible" you have a loveless or a lacking relationship with God because: *you might not be saved; just thought you were.  *you might be a false convert; came to Christianity for something other than righteousness and to have a relationship with God....

Church Membership  and regular attendance is important. If you came here because you are a new believer or temporarily not in a church right now,  jump here . 🌟 If you say you are a Christian, but are not in church (nor in active membership), and just "do your own thing", please read the important below loving admonishment and exortation & attached education resources.  You may have been hurt by some in a church and just stopped going, or want to do your own thing, or are against the false churches of prosperity and want to avoid them so you dont go cuz you do not know which churches are legitimate. Or afraid you will fall into a fake one that is just a motivational group (vs biblical church), the below will help you.  You could be reading the Bible daily and think you are ok, but you're hindering the body of Christ and being disibedient to Christ if you are not in Church. And if you are reading the Bible daily you will be convicted by not being in...

The Gospel and Our Responsibility sbc

Info contained here is still valid   This post was made when i was in the SBC. I have since moved to a non denominational church that is leans Reformed Baptist; I recently learned that church also had come out of the SBC (between 1969 and '90). SBC was the largest Christian denomination in the world until recent years due to a split. There were over 43,000 churches associated with the SBC. It was a light to the nation and world, and one of the better denominations, until Rick Warren wrecked it, churches started bringing the unsaved and the culture in vs keeping the church purely of believers & standing firm on what Scripture teaches; and because these cooperative churches veered off away from truth that allowed heretical progressivism to start sneaking in, both in teachings, congregants beliefs, those "serving" and in leadership positions, and from the pulpit.  There are solid churches still holding to the F&M 2000, but some claim it but teach otherwise and many o...
