Repentence  isnt a "work. Not a work in a religious sense (that false religions try to do). For a non Christian, clarity on "repentance" is needed.  Repentance is a change of mind, a turning from and turning to. You need to change our mind about who is on the throne of your life. No longer living as "I am on the throne" of my life, and change that to God being on the throne of your life. Because He is as ruler over you as Creator and God. It is about turning to Him.  When a person understands who God is, he realizes the seriousness of his sin crimes, understands all sins are all done against God, and that He will judge you for every one of these crimes. As the perfect and good God he is a just and righteous Judge. This means he must damn you to permanent eternal Hell... with that knowledge, a person will do one of 2 things. 1. Q: as a muslim i find i do not comprehend the "transformation" Christians talk about. How can it be or how exactly is it that "Jesus transforms" a Christian's life? To me it seems many who are "Christian" do not have a transformed life. But it seems many have a transformed life who are muslim, buddhist, or hindu. So how is a transformed life as a Christian proof Jesus is God? Islamic belief is simply says dont associate any partners with god [idolatry?], and the OT also says this, and you follow 10 commandments, and repent then gods forgiveness is guaranteed. Since the Fall humans are no longer perfect, we were marred by sin through Adam, since all of us are born from him.  While Christians are not under these 10C given to Israel to uphold legalostically, the moral commandments in it do point us all to the perfection of God's holiness & standard. The 9 reiterated in the NT do help us understand a bit about sin, and reveals how far sinful humans fall from being good/perfect.  Christians (the born again)  are under the Law of Christ*. And yes it says to love God rightly and love other humans made in God's image rightly. So it seems to encompass the 10C... but really it includes much more.  The Law that is written on mans hearts, as Scripture tells us, is the one that fully points to moral perfection; God's unchanging perfection in character and nature. How does everyone come to Christ? How did you? I've been an atheist (unreligious) all my life, and recently started thinking about Christianity. I would like to hear how it’s impacting your life and how you knew it was the correct choice to convert. A: It is the right choice, because it IS the right thing to do. The greatest need of every individual is to know who God is. No matter who you are, in the church, outside the church or an atheist, your most basic need is to know God if you are to know yourself and understand the world around you. You need to know who God is and what He is like. Every other knowledge that someone may acquire is a far distant second in importance.
