Backslider & idea of losing salvation
Where did the idea of a believer can be a backslider, or that believers can lose their salvation come from? We know false teachers teach the opposite of Scripture. But when something isnt from Scripture...if we look into it, it may have came from some problem in history in Christianity's past. In this case it was and was during widespread real persecution times. This explains it interestingly @12:00 min mark. Today there is still such persecution in many countries outside the USA and the west. Though there is growing hostility towards and laws made in Europe that are moving in that direction. Peter and the Apostles recieved the Holy Spirit after the Ascension of the Lord. And were sealed by the indwelling Holy Spirit - they had salvation. No believer can deny Christ. The Apostles went on to bokdly proclaim truth even in times of persecution and when faced with their deaths. We cannot be flippant about this. God left us here to proclaim Christ,...
